Chess program for kids

Learning to think outside the box

 

  

    Jaque mate  is

 

§          A developed program to teach chess for kids from 3 years old and up.

 

§         An accreditated program that actually Works in Europe and LAtin America for more than twelve years.

 

§         The opportunity to give young children strong learning skills that will guide them trough a successful learning experience for all their lives.

 

The students improve their  Imagination, Logic, Concentration, Critical Thinking, Reasoning Skills and Intuition

 

We began this program in September 2007 during the regular hours of the Spanish School Educando a América.

 

 

Chess programs offered:

 

·         Jaque Mate Group classes: 1 hour class. 12 classes per session. Cost: $360

·         Jaque Mate Private classes: 1 hour class. Minimum: 2 students. 12 classes per session. Cost: $720  

·         JugARte: A 45 minutes class. From 3 years old and up. Cost: $100 montlhy fee. Small groups divided by ages.

·         Chess EA: A 30 minutes class for students already enrolled in Educando a America’s Thursday’s program.

 

 School Curriculum Program:

 

§         The students attend classes once a week, during one hour, where they learn the movement of the pieces, the tabloid, completing a workbook of different activities.

§         Each level of acquisition takes 12 hours of instruction. 

§         We currently offer 6 levels of learning.

    Do you know of any chess clubs in the Davie area? I can’t beleive you can teach a three year old chess. I’m glad to hear it. My son is two and developing normally but at this point I can’t imagine him playing chess.

    Thank you very much for your comment.
    I don’t know any chess club in the area.
    The “Jaque Mate” chess program is designed for kids between 3-14 years old.
    In level one the kids learn the pieces names and recognize them on the board. Then they learn how to move the pawn, the bishop and the rook and the interaction between them.
    The first level whith 3 years old students is around 24 sessions. Each session is between 20-30 minutes.

    Regarding the Jaque Mate Group classes, Is it available sometime over the weekend also, or do you have any programs for kids durings weekends .
